About

I’m Denis. I grew up on the family farm in north Co. Cork, surrounded by horses, dogs, and open countryside. While life took me down a different path, there was always something drawing me back to horses, nature, and open spaces.

Twenty-five years later, I found myself back in the saddle, and my love for these magnificent, generous, and honest creatures was rekindled.

I trained as a coach through the BHS at Clonshire and began teaching, gradually developing a keen interest in equine biomechanics and the ways we, as riders and trainers, influence a horse’s way of going. That curiosity led me to explore a more empathetic and considered approach to working with horses, one that supports both their physical wellbeing and their trust.

Training as an Advanced Practitioner in Equine Integrative Support Therapies (APEIST) with Equi-Ed, studying anatomy, physiology, communication, and biomechanics, has reshaped the way I understand and connect with horses.
